Design and Evaluation of a Smart Ex Vitro Acclimatization System for Tissue Culture Plantlets

One of the technological advancements in agricultural production is tissue culture propagation technique, commonly used for mass multiplication and disease-free plants. The necessity date palm emerged from inability traditional methods’ offshoots to meet immediate demands significant amounts planting material commercial cultivars. Tissue plantlets are produced a protected aseptic vitro environment where all growth variables strictly controlled. challenges occur when these transferred an ex climate acclimatization. Traditional glasshouses frequently used; however, this has substantial mortality consequences. In present study, novel IoT-based automated acclimatization system (E-VAS) was designed evaluated (cv. Khalas) enhance their morpho-physiological attributes reduce rate contamination risk through minimal human contact. experimental findings showed that parameters 6- 12-month-old plants were higher acclimatized prototype E-VAS compared glasshouse (TGAS). maximum plant percentage occurred within first month transfer both systems, which gradually declined up six months; after that, no observed. About 6% recorded E-VAS, whereas 18% TGAS After months overall 14% 41% TGAS. proposed potential address growing demand rapid culture-produced materials since survival phenotype quality much than conventional manual industry follows production.
